Wholesaler marketplace: public launch
After 14 months of closed-alpha with 9 wholesalers and 47 shops, we're opening the wholesaler marketplace publicly today. The shops on the alpha saved 8.4% on average COGS. Here's how it works and how to get on.
What changes today
The wholesaler marketplace was a closed-alpha feature for our Pro and Enterprise tenants. As of today, every Floree tenant on Pro or above can browse, request quotes from, and place wholesale orders through 24 verified GCC wholesalers — directly from the inventory dashboard.
For wholesalers — application is open at [floree.ai/wholesale](/contact). Onboarding is curated; we run reference checks and ensure FTA-compliant invoicing before live.
What it does
Every Pro shop sees a "Wholesale" tab in their inventory section. Pick a SKU from your low-stock list, click "request quotes", and Floree sends an RFQ to up to 5 wholesalers in parallel. Quotes return in 5–60 minutes. Pick the best price (or the best lead time, or the best wholesaler relationship) and the order is placed — with the wholesaler's FTA-compliant tax invoice attached automatically.
What we saw in alpha
- 8.4% average COGS reduction for shops who used the marketplace at least weekly
- 64% increase in wholesale spend through the platform vs out-of-platform — i.e. shops shifted procurement, not added it
- 5 of 9 wholesalers ended up with shops they didn't supply at the start of the alpha
It's a win for shops (lower COGS), wholesalers (more volume), and us (better economics on the marketplace fee). The fee, by the way, is 1.5% on wholesaler-side, not shop-side. Always free for shops to browse.
