Mother's Day is consistently the #2 single-week revenue spike across our tenants — second only to Valentine's. Unlike Valentine's, it skews female, midweek, and gentle pastel. Here's the playbook nine of our shops use.

The shape of Mother's Day

Mother's Day in the GCC officially falls on 21 March (Mother's Day in the Arab world); some shops also serve UK / US customers on the second Sunday of May, doubling the spike. Either way, it's a midweek ramp — Tuesday and Wednesday before the date are the heaviest dispatch days, with home-delivery dominating.

Operational playbook

  • Start the storefront collection 14 days early. Mother's Day customers research and order earlier than Valentine's.
  • Lean pastel, not red. Across our network, pastel-pink, soft-coral, and soft-white arrangements outsell red 4:1 for Mother's Day; the inverse is true at Valentine's.
  • Premium cards spike. "To Mum, with love" hand-written cards convert at 38% of cart on Mother's Day vs 28% baseline. Have a dedicated card collection live.
  • Same-day delivery as a paid tier. AED 50–80 surcharge clears about a third of orders and gives downstream breathing room.
